Yes, both. If hydrocarbons (e.g. fatty acids) are exposed to hydroxyl radicals, they are decomposed. Therefore, not only odors, but also their causes are eliminated or neutralized. In this way, the fatty acids are broken down into aerosols.

No. The device should be checked after 25,000 operating hours. The plasma source can become contaminated. This may only be cleaned by a specialist. If the generator is operated 24/7, this corresponds to approx. 3 years. When used during normal business hours, it corresponds to approx. 7 years.
If the device is used in rooms with high levels of pollution, excessively high humidity or high levels of dust, the performance of the device must be continuously checked in order to ensure effective use.

Safety

When operating the IOXmed generator, a very low ozone value arises, which is far below the permitted limit value. If people stay for a longer period of time, a minimum distance of one meter from the device should be maintained for safety reasons.This ensures that the small residual ozone that is emitted by the plasma for life generator is so diluted that it poses no danger to humans or animals.

 

No. Hydroxyl radicals occur regularly in nature, they are the cleaners for our atmosphere. For example, they are measurably present in large numbers next to a waterfall with solar radiation or during thunderstorms. Atmospheric, cold plasma, as it is produced by the IOXmed generator, has been used very successfully in medicine for wound treatment for several years. Humans, plants and animals have eucaryotes (cells of higher organisms) whose cell membrane is structured differently. This means that hydroxyl radicals cannot adversely affect the eucaryotic cells. If a person is exposed to hydroxyl radicals, this is completely harmless.

 

Measurements were taken at the outlet opening of the IOXmed generator and values of 0.03-0.05 ppm were determined. After just one meter from the device, the ozone value is so low that it can no longer be detected. These values are classified as very low. Since electrical machines and motors, as well as z. B. copiers can also generate ozone during operation, limits have been set. The daily mean value is prescribed as the workplace limit value (MAK value) in Germany and Austria at 0.100 ppm.

With continuous operation in a closed room, the measured nitrogen oxide value (NO2) of the IOXmed generator is max. 15 μg / m3. The EU limit value is 40 μg / m3.

 

No. Hydroxyl radicals are harmless to higher organisms and humans. A high antimicrobial effectiveness has been observed. When they come into contact with cells of higher organisms, they catalytically disintegrate into water.

 

No. The IOXmed Generator is a further measure of a hygiene concept and represents a supplement. All recommendations, regulations and guidelines of the governments of the individual countries must of course be adhered to. Please continue to observe the recommended hygiene rules.

 

Installation in rooms

Yes, the generator is also effective in high rooms. However, the size of the room must be taken into account. A room volume of approx. 120 m3 can be assumed for each IOXmed generator. (Number of generators required = room volume / 120). If ventilation systems are available, the manufacturer should be contacted for a correct determination of the required generators.

 

An activity period of the ions or hydroxyl radicals of up to 30 minutes is assumed.
